Installation guide

• Make sure you are in the official Zaun discord.

WINDOWS

• Get the latest Zaun release from the official discord.

• Download the zip file.

• Extract to a desired location on your device.

• Scan the files for any threats or tampering.

  • Always get the releases from the official discord to avoid any malicious files.

• When running the application and if applicable, ignore the windows smart screen warning.

• Smart Screen always shows this warning for new applications from non-official sources once.

• Safely dismiss and continue.

• if the terminal running the application in full screen and you still see the below image:

• You might need to change your display settings by adjusting the scale percentage to 100%.

Linux

• Zaun supports the most common Linux distros out there (Debian/Ubuntu/Mint/Fedora/Etc..)

• If you intend to run it on a remote VPS or VM:

  • Make sure that your terminal supports modern ANSI

  • You might need some extra dependencies (but highly unlikely):

    • apt install libxdo-dev

    • apt install build-essentials

• Currently both x86_64 amd and arm 64 architectures are supported.

Mac OS

• Mac OS support coming soon.

Initial Configuration

• Make sure to follow the steps in Environment Config so you can run the application.
• They are essential, other configurations are not and can be managed in bot settings UI.

• Make sure to have an active subscription. Refer to Authentication.

Essential Accounts

After following the steps above and running the application. you will be prompted for creating essential program accounts like the Bundle Guard that power the whole application as a one time setup. After completing the steps, you now can re-run the application.
